LEA Architects served as the Design Architect for this mixed use office and restaurant project located adjacent the corner of 40th Street and Campbell in Phoenix Arizona. The 4,500 SF project includes 2,500 SF of commercial office and a 2,000 SF restaurant space on the lower level facing the 40th street frontage. The proposed modern architecture responds to the unique character of the surrounding commercial and residential context while utilizing passive and active sustainable strategies including vertical shade screens, a living green wall, recycled materials, pervious paving, and natural daylighting. The conceptual design proposed by LEA Architects including the supporting plans and 3d computer renderings clearly communicated the design concept which was overwhelmingly approved by the neighbors, Camelback East Village Planning Committee, and the City of Phoenix leading to the successful rezoning of the property from R-4 to C-1.
