LEA was commissioned to study the functional, organizational and spatial needs for the City of Mesa’s Fire Department Administrative Personnel and develop schematic design documents for a new Fire Administration Building based on the findings of this study. The project is sited in Downtown Mesa and incorporates the adaptive reuse of the existing 7,300 s.f. administration building with a new 60,000 s.f. major addition. Numerous passive and active sustainable strategies including Solar PV and Hot Water Systems were implemented into the project.
