LEA Architects designed the addition to this home, reconfiguring the entry sequence and introducing an expansive shade canopy structure to both define the entry and protect the outdoor patio area. The inverted shed form of the canopy defines the reconfigured main entry to the home which now draws ones focuses towards the dramatic views of Camelback Mountain. Glue laminated wood beams are used in combination with wood decking, steel columns and lattice, standing seam metal roofing, and board formed poured in place concrete fire place and site walls to further define and articulate the new entry sequence.
