Phoenix Art Museum Dan Graham Art Installation Ribbon Cutting
LEA Architects is proud to have worked with the Phoenix Art Museum and the well known American Artist Dan Graham on “Curves for E.S.”, a stainless steel and glass art installation finished this month inside of the Phoenix Art Museum Courtyard and Sculpture Garden. LEA collaborated with the Phoenix Art Museum, APM, General Contractor, and the Artist’s Belgian fabrication team in development of the project. Careful attention to detailing was critical to allow the sculpture to interact with both the surrounding courtyard landscape and the triangular Brazilian Slate horizontal plane on the interior of the installation. The title of the installation draws inspiration from the Archtiectural work of Eero Saarinen.
