Forest Highlands Fire District – Station No. 23 Dedication
Highlands Fire Station No. 23 was dedicated with hundreds of people attending the early morning pancake breakfast and Building Dedication Ceremony. The building received many compliments and was awarded the top level Advanced Award for Sustainability from Coconino County during the ceremony.
Dedication of new Grand Canyon Airport Operations Building
Dedication of the new Grand Canyon Airport Operations Building + ARFF. LEA spoke on the numerous sustainable features that contributed to the final LEED Gold certification and Officials from the State of Arizona Governor’s Office, ADOT, Mayor of Tusayon, and the FAA, cut the ribbon of this major catalyst LEED Gold building. An Airport stakeholder workshop session hosted by ADOT was conducted after the ribbon cutting where LEA presented the sustainable vision of the new Terminal at the Grand Canyon airport.
SMoCA Tour
Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) members and guests met with the LEA Architects to tour Paradise Valley Fire Station No. 1. LEA discussed architectural design concepts, art, function, and sustainable features of both Paradise Valley Fire Stations No. 1 and 2 (recent winners of Valley Forward, NCMA, FIERO and AZ Masonry Guild Awards). Gold Design Excellence Award
LEA Architects presents the top Gold Design Excellence Award won by LEA in a national design excellence competition for the 77 acre Glendale Regional Public Safety Training Center (GRPSTC) to the City of Glendale officials.
